Kentucky fiddlers: John Salyer, Hiram Stamper. Also Luther Strong, Wm Stepp, Ed Haley, and many of the fiddlers covered in Jeff Todd Titon's book on Kentucky Fiddlers. Also enjoy fiddlers from other areas: Tommy Jarrell, Edden Hammons... Where do I stop? Traditional music is a key influence, but I also admit to a strong interest in modern written tunes in the OT style from such tune-smiths as: Jim Childress, Mark Simos, Hank Bradley, Gary Harrison, Harry Bolick, and others.
